		<description>you may be thinking of the Hi8 analog camcorder that canon made a long time ago. that was the last camcorder built by canon with 1/2 inch ccds. newer models are much smaller imagers which makes the idea moot.&lt;br /&gt;

 it would be silly to buy a non-digital camcorder at this point. professional versions of DV camcorders usually feature removeable lenses, but a lens for video use is much different design than for still photography which is another reason canon did not continue the project.</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve never heard of one, and I&#039;d be surprised if one exists.  Camcorder chips are generally smaller than DSLR&#039;s so you&#039;d be losing a lot of light.</description>

		<description>if you look around, there is a mount of sorts that screws into the tripod hole in the camera and adjusts to hold screw on type lenses from some slrs.&lt;br /&gt;
