anyone. please help! With Canon Camcorders?!?

i have a DS100 DVD camcorder and i cant find a way to transfer my recordings to my mac laptop. It wont even transfer to regular PC. I tried but I don’t have a clue. I want to transfer my recordings to "imovie" so I can edit my project. Any help please, to people that have done this before?! I dont have a cable that it will hook up the computer either. Its saved to DVD.

If you want to put the dvd files into imovie so that you can edit it well, i think you need a dvd ripper to convert the dvd files so that you can directly import in into imovie. I haven’t had the problem like you before, but i think this is a good mac dvd ripper to rip all my dvd files,so i think you can give this software for a try, it’s really your best choice to rip dvd files for all popular portable players. Also it’s very easy to use with powful functions. Here you can find more information, give a look:

Just put the FINALIZED DVD in the DVD player in your Macbook. Then have iMovie import or capture the video from the DVD to your project. It’s that simple.

    * This technique works with iMovie 06 and 09

What type of DVD are you using? If you’re using DVD-RW discs you will be able to edit recordings.

Minidvd camcorders do not use a cord to download.

If you have a mini dvd camcorder….
You will have to finalize your dvd in the camera and then put the dvd in your computer’s DVD burner (top loading only) and then you will have to convert the files (I downloaded http://www.handbrake.fr/ file converter free) and import them into your editing program. Use the HELP feature in your editing program to learn about editing. Once you are ready to burn, your project will be burned to a different DVD and you can file the original away.
