    Hi Bill!
    I have the same question as dyonous. However, I need a little clarification. Are you saying that 2 wireless mics can be used with the splitter?

    I, too, will be using the Kodak Zi8 in an interview setting in an apartment. There will possibly be more than two people in the same room talking. Can a wireless mic and a shotgun mic be used together with the splitter?

    I’ve never heard of Azden. Have you tested the Audio Technica brand?

    THANK YOU so much for this. It’s just what I needed.

    @xXxstewiedudexXx u …
    @xXxstewiedudexXx u could get an audio recorder and plug a mic in to it and record your audio separately then just sync up the audio from the mic with the audio from the camera in post production.

    @xXxstewiedudexXx …
    @xXxstewiedudexXx You could always use a portable audio recorder and hook the mics up to that, then sync the audio together in post.

    @dyonous The Zi8 …
    @dyonous The Zi8 has a stereo mic input, so all you need is a stereo to mono splitter, and connect each external mic to one of the cable ends of the stereo mono splitter. You can find these cables at radio shack

    Hi Bill! Do you …
    Hi Bill! Do you have a suggestion for this… I’d like to do a video project, I’m using a low-end digital camcorder with one microphone jack (Kodak Zi8), but I have 2 people in the video. I’m thinking 2 lavalier microphones would give the best audio… but is there a way to use 2 mics with one jack? Do I need some kind of low-end mixer, or is there such a thing as a set with 2 microphones that plug together into one jack? Or should I just use another type of mic altogether? – Thanks!

    @xXxstewiedudexXx Sorry, if your camcorder doesn’t have a microphone jack, there is no way to connect an external microphone to it.

    @neonguy528 I don’t use pinnacle, but in Sony Movie Studio, you can right click the audio track, and choose to change a single mono channel to a stereo channel.

    My Wms-Pro mic only …
    My Wms-Pro mic only records in mono, on the right speaker only. Not good. My videos are ruined with sound on only one channel. Other videos of testing this mic the sound is fine, coming out of both speakers. Am I an idiot? The Azden rep said this is normal. Huh? I record video, then convert MOV files to MPEG, then edit in Pinnacle 12. Still, sound out of one side of speakers. Would appreciate your help Bill.

    @wardellrlscott An easy way to get rid of the interference is to use a different microphone that uses different and more secure channels to transmit the audio.

    In need of …
    In need of assistance. I have a radio shack stereo lavalier mic that I use with my camcorder. For some reason I pick up voices (maybe from tv or cell phone) when I record. When I attempt to edit, I hear that annoying backround noise. How can I get rid of it? P.S there are no other wires in the way at all:)

    @Echofromsomewere1 That is a trackball mouse – used by people who spend a lot of time on their computers. The mouse doesn’t move, the ball on top does. Prevents mouse elbow
