I can’t figure out how to save videos from my Canon camcorder to my computer?
I just got a new Canon DVD Camcorder DC210. It takes videos and photos i can load and save photos perfectly fine but when it comes to trying to view and save the videos it doesnt work. The camcorder uses mini discs my videos are on a DVD-RW disc that my computer can read. But i can’t find an application or any method that will save my videos so i can send them and save them to my computer. Any suggestions?
Try it this way
Use a programme called Ulead VideoStudio – you take the mini-disc out of your camcorder and put it into the DVD tray of your PC making sure it sits centrally in the little depression made for it. You may have to ‘finalise’ the mini DVD your camera manual will tell you how to do that – but you should note that once a DVD is finalised you cannot record any more video on it.
Inside VideoStudio you select “Insert DVD” and point the programme at the DVD and follow the prompts and the video is copied from the disc into the timeline of VideoStudio so that you can edit it – add lots of different videos together – add titles/music/narration – make a file that you can e-mail or upload to ‘Youtube’ etc. and finally burn to a full size DVD to play in a standard player.
Full details and a one month free trial of VideoStudio from :-

You will have to plug your camera into your computer\’s port and use video software to upload. I have Adobe premiere elements 7 and it will help you edit and create videos right from your camera after you\’ve plugged it in.
I don\’t know all the ins and outs, but if you go to google and google your camera\’s brand name + uploading videos, it should pull up a lot of info to help.
